Hackathon Mbarara 2026 (2nd Edition)

Hackathon Mbarara is a yearly innovation and product-building event designed to strengthen the technology and startup ecosystem in Mbarara and Western Uganda. The 2026 edition brings together developers, designers, entrepreneurs, and students to build practical solutions that address real local challenges.

Solving Real Local Problems with Technology: Building Practical FinTech, AgriTech, and HealthTech Solutions for Real Impact.

What we are building

Teams will validate a problem, design a solution, build a working prototype (MVP), and pitch to judges. We emphasize usability, local relevance, and scalability.
